TYPE OF BOOTH: FOOD, WINE, ARTS & CRAFT, INFORMATION

Food Service:
Service of food requires a Health Department License. Permit will be distributed to approved permittee(s) by the Health Department at the Festival.

Wine Service:
Service of Wine requires a Special Events/OLCC permit – $30 per booth for wineries, $150 for non-profits. Please send a separate check made payable to OLCC along with completed application. Sales by 1 oz. taste, 4 oz. pour, or by the sealed bottle or case (Oregon Liquor Control Commission [OLCC] regulation).

All accepted applicants MUST provide Newport Chamber of Commerce with evidence of $500,000 minimum liability insurance coverage. The Chamber must be named as additional insured.

  • Exhibitors will be selected based upon quality of offerings for Festival attendants consistent with the Festival's coastal theme.
  • The committee will take a fresh look at applicants each year.
  • Participation in past events does not automatically reserve a booth for vendors.
  • All applications will be taken into consideration.
  • A detailed description and photos of your product should be included with your application whether or not you have been a vendor in the past.
  • NO CORKSCREW/PULLER SALES ALLOWED.
  • NO OPAQUE BAGS ALLOWED.
  • Exhibitor's electrical order is separate and based on individual needs.


2009 Booth Fees
Standard 10x10 Booth, one skirted table $595
Corner 10x10 Booth, two skirted tables $750
Side by Side Booth (limited availability) $1,195

The Newport Seafood and Wine Festival Crab Design is a registered trademark, and use is prohibited without written contract from the Newport Chamber of Commerce. EXHIBITOR CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE IS PROHIBITED.


VENDOR CRITERIA

No private label wines. No sales of any type of wine holders (plastic, plate or one that hangs around neck). The Newport Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors hold the exclusive rights for wine holder sales. Booths will be selected based upon the following criteria:

A) Vendor applications are NOT SELECTED STRICTLY ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS. However, it is to your advantage to get your application in as soon as possible. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.

B) Vendors past performance and cooperation with the Festival is a strong consideration in the evaluation but does not assure a booth.

C) Booth product, display and decorations appropriate to the coastal theme are strongly encouraged.


FOOD VENDORS

  • MUST FEATURE AT LEASE ONE (1) SEAFOOD ITEM (except for special food booths allocated by booth chair for coffee, ice cream, candy, cheese, bread, etc).
  • Selection of applicants will be made so as to have the greatest variety of seafood products and minimize booths featuring the same food product.
  • We encourage representation of the following: calamari, shark, rock fish, fish kabobs, scallops, clams, mussels, and oyster products.
  • Menus must be specific and cannot be changed without written approval of SWF Chair and Chamber Events Director.
  • Our preference is to have no duplication of products offered.



ARTS & CRAFTS

  • Craft booths must have a coastal theme.
  • Selection criteria shall include quality and appeal of product and attractive display.
  • All applicants must include a detailed description and pictures of crafts to be sold.
  • There will be a limited number of craft booths.
  • Our preference is to have no duplication of products offered.
  • Craft booths shall display only those items listed on the booth application, except with the written approval of the SWF Chair and Chamber Events Director.



INFORMATION

  • Information booths will be selected at the discretion of the Newport Seafood and Wine Festival Committee.



WINE

All past exhibitors will be sent applications, and the booth chair may distribute booth applications to other potential exhibitors in such a manner as the booth chair deems appropriate.

Exhibitors will be chosen as per the following:

  • A mix of established, large and small, wineries, and new wineries to appeal to the broad spectrum of Festival attendees.
  • Balance mix of wine product being offered by wine exhibitors.
  • The priority of selection of exhibitors shall be as follows:
    A. Local (Greater Newport) non-profit or volunteer groups pouring for a winery.
    B. Oregon Wineries and other exhibitors pouring Oregon wine.
    C. Exhibitors pouring Northwest wines.
