Amateur Wine Competition
Rules for Entry |
- 1. A Complete registration from must be submitted with each wine entry.
- 2. Each entry will consist of: One (1) completed registration form, One (1) bottle (750ml) of selected wine to compete, and $5.00. Please make payment to the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce.
- 3. The Variety and Category of Competition entered should be clearly marked on the front of the bottle, they will be on display at the Seafood and Wine Festival.
- 4. Your name should be clearly labeled on the bottom or side of the bottle.
Bottles without proper
identification will be disqualified.
- 5. Blind Judging will be conducted by a panel of judges.
Gold, Silver, and Bronze will be awarded along with one "Best of Show."
- 6. Wines entered in the wrong category will be disqualified.
- 7. Display bottles can be picked up at 3:30pm on Sunday February __, 2011.
- 8. Results of the competition will be mailed to all participants shortly after the festival.
- 9. Please do not enter wines that have been previously judged in this competition.
- 10. Remember each entry must have a complete registration from. All entries must be received by the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce no later than Friday, January __, 2011, and to a Drop Site NO LATER THAN JANUARY __, 2011.
