The Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce 2010-2011 Board of Directors Take Office at "Takin' Care of Business" – Annual Awards Banquet

NEWPORT, Oregon – The Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce will hold their Annual Awards Banquet
on Friday, June 18, 2010, at the Best Western Agate Beach Inn, beginning at 6:00 pm. This year's theme is "Takin' Care of Business!"
The event will feature a Recognition of Awards and a changing of officers on the Board of Directors.
Being installed as member of the Executive Board of Directors include:
- President – Susan Ernst, Farmers Insurance Beck/Ernst;
- 1st Vice President – Al Fitzpatrick, Coast Guard Community College Vincennes University;
- 2nd Vice President – Don Lindly, Lincoln County Commissioner;
- Secretary – Don Mann, Port of Newport;
- Treasurer – Doug Hunt, Umpqua Bank;
- Past President – Linda Neigebauer, Nye Cottage Beads & Vacation Rentals;
- Past President – At-Large-Raquell Teague, Western Title & Escrow Company.
Board of Directors serving a two-year term include:
- John Baker, Northwest Management Specialists;
- Jeremy Burke, Newport News Times;
- Burt Lippman;
- Catherine Rickbone, OCCA/PAC/VAC;
- Larimee Ward, Outdoor Resorts Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort and
- Chris Waugh, On The Fly, Inc.
Those serving a one-year term include:
- Kori Copp, Copp's Doors & Wookworking;
- Patti Eisler, West Coast Bank;
- Rich Evans, E2 Electric, Inc.;
- Patti Ferry, OSU Federal Credit Union;
- Brian Haggerty, Minor, Bandonis & Haggerty, P.C.;
- Judy Kuhl, Embarcadero Resort Hotel & Marina;
- Dan Lewer, Animal Medical Care;
- Doug Orr, Pacific Tire & Brake and
- Randy Teich, Newport Gentle Dentistry.
Members of the Ex-Officio Directors are:
- Bill Bain, City of Newport Mayor;
- Patrick O'Connor, Oregon Coast Community College President; and
- Tom Rinearson, Lincoln County School District Superintendant.
The evening will include a social time, silent auction, raffle prizes and entertainment provided by Mainstream Music and the Chamber Board,
all beginning at 6:00 pm at the Best Western Agate Beach Inn. A buffet dinner will begin at 6:45 pm, followed by the Awards and Recognitions
portion of the evening and the drawing for the winner of the "$1000 Chamber Bucks."
Awards for the following will be presented during the program:
- Beautification of the Year,
- Public Employee of the Year,
- Volunteer Person of the Year,
- President's Award,
- Special Recognition and
- Ambassador of the Year.
