NEWPORT, Oregon – The Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the Employee of the Month for March 2009 is Tammy Threlkeld, Customer Service Supervisor at Washington Federal Savings.
Tammy receives this award for exceeding the criteria of quality of service, friendliness, knowledge of the area, and being a role model for other employees!
As most of you know guest service is very important to our businesses, not only does Tammy offer outstanding customer service, she also takes on the
responsibility of training her fellow employees to do it. Tammy has been a dedicated employee for over eleven years and she still treats each customer
as though they were a family member. She takes the time for personal conversations and helps many customers with personal matters when she can.
She is patient, kind, and friendly in a professional manner which allows her natural charm to shine through making customers and co-workers alike feel welcome.
Tammy is not only extremely knowledgeable about how the banking process works to better help her customers she is also a proud citizen of Lincoln County,
and is very familiar with Newport's businesses and how to direct visitors around town. She makes that extra effort to encourage visitors to eat, sleep, shop,
and play in Newport; in turn her staff learns to do that same.
Congratulations Tammy! Tammy, along with the 12 other Employees of the month will have the opportunity to become Employee of the Year at the Annual
Know Your Newport Seminar, which will be held Wednesday, June 3rd at the Performing Arts Center.
Great customer service is essential to Newport's economy, and the Chamber recognizes the important role of Newport area employees. Wondering how
you can nominate one of your employees? Watch for the Nomination Form in the Chamber Newsletter; download a form from our website at
