The 32nd Annual Seafood & Wine Festival, February 20, 21 and 22

Seafood & Wine Festival logo NEWPORT, Oregon – While advanced online tickets for the Newport Seafood & Wine Festival are still selling hot, the festival has announced its lineup of food vendors, arts and crafts booths, and some 80 wineries.

The 32nd Annual Newport Seafood & Wine Festival happens February 20, 21, and 22, 2009 – adjacent to the Rogue Ales Warehouse, 2320 OSU Drive, just south of downtown Newport.

Many famed winemakers from around the northwest will be there, along with names not so well known or smaller wineries. Among them are Pheasant Valley Vineyard, Hip Chicks Do Wine, Hip Chicks Do Wine, Oak Knoll Winery, Hood River Vineyards, Willamette Valley Vineyards, Eola Hills Wine Cellars, Cooper Mountain Vineyards, Wine by Joe and the Oregon coast's own Nehalem Bay Winery, to name a few.

One beer booth will be there, with the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce selling Rogue Ales.

Many of the food vendors come from the coast, especially the Newport area: such as Local Ocean Seafoods, Moby Dick's, Embarcadero Dock, Sada's Sushi Bar and Newport Café.

For those wanting advanced E-tickets and access to a faster line into the festival, these are available at http://www.newportchamber.org/sw_general.htm. Prices for e-tickets are the same as gate entry, but with a handling fee.

Advance group tickets are also on sale, allowing larger groups a special entrance. Groups of 15 or more can call the Chamber office (800-262-7844).

Officials urge festival goers to make their hotel reservations soon, as rooms fill up to 100 percent in the area, including in outlying towns like Depoe Bay, Lincoln City and Yachats.

You must be 21 years or older to attend this event. You must also show valid picture ID or you will not be able to enter the event. The site is handicapped accessible and smoke free, with a special outdoor smoking area. Parking at the facility is $5.
