Newport Jewelry Event to Benefit Food Share

NEWPORT, Oregon – The second annual Be Jeweled event comes to Newport, Oregon on February 7, featuring a wide variety of jewelry for sale – all to benefit Food Share of Lincoln County.
The bling is second hand but glittery nonetheless. The eclectic selection includes beaded necklaces, lead crystal earrings, sterling bracelets, rings with diamonds, jade pendants and a ton of other treasures. Better yet, all the goodies are priced from 25 cents to $25.
Be Jeweled happens 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Newport Senior Activity Center, 20 S.E. 2nd Street, Newport, Oregon (one block off Highway 20).
Be Jeweled was inspired by a similar sale on the East Coast and promises to be an annual Newport happening. Many attendees described last year's event as the ultimate in recycled jewelry sales.

This year each Be Jeweled buyer will receive merchant coupon/discount sheets. Shoppers from out of the area and local patrons alike will have a chance to enjoy free or discounted items from many Newport merchants.
"This is a perfect pre-valentine jewelry sale," says Linda Neigebauer, Be Jeweled signature sponsor. "With vintage, costume, fine jewelry, and just fun casual, there's something here for everybody."
Neigebauer is the owner of Nye Cottage Beads and Vacation Rentals, where jewelry from community donations has been collected and sorted all year.
Experienced appraisers then started pricing over 3,000 pieces at Nye Cottage Beads where, donations are still coming in.
